HH stops using real fur Helly Hansen has for many years provided a limited number of jackets with a removable fur trim on the hoods. In most instances the trim has been made of fake fur, in others it has been made of real fur. This option has been made available to the customer, so they could make the most relevant choice for each local market. After thoroughly evaluating the market situation, the need for providing real fur in the future is seen as very limited. In addition, we has considered our responsibility in this somewhat debated issue -- and come to the conclusion that HH potentially can do a small part of stopping some of the alleged animal cruelty linked to the apparel industry. In addition, we also have reasons to believe that this is something that will be a hot topic in the media going forward, and we would like to be proactive in our approach to this kind of issue. In other words, HH will stop using any kind real fur in all future production, and only use fake fur. For any questions regarding this issue, please contact Richard Collier or Hans Gunleiksrud.
