Amsterdam. Demonstration vor P&C Amsterdam

Die niederländische Gruppe Respect voor Dieren berichtet:

Saturday the 13th of november the Dutch animal rights group Respect voor Dieren leafletted in front of the Peek & Cloppenburg building in Amsterdam. Recently we discovered furtrims in the shops and pictures can be seen on our website http://www.respectvoordieren.org.

In the Netherlands P&C has officially a furfree policy but we know about the hypocrisy of this. Selling no fur in the Netherlands, but selling the coats of innocent animals in the shops in Germany and Austria! We were not shocked to find fur in the Dutch shops after all. P&C removed the furtrims immediately after being contacted by another animal rights group.

It didn't stop us to show P&C their own hypocrisy. We leafletted hundreds of flyers and people walked into the shop with our leaflet in their hands! The P&C manager didn't enjoy it all and came out angry. This was for us a perfect time to tell her that next week we will be with more people, banners and signs to protest again. And not only in Amsterdam but in Utrecht as well.

Peoples reactions were great. They were shocked about the P&C connection with the furtrade. Some people voted to never buy any clothes in that shop again.
